We've made dog treats in Boulder since 2002. One ingredient, no fillers, same recipe we started with.
Somewhere along the way enough people asked us for a hat that we finally made one. It sold out.
This is the second run — six colorways, twenty-five of each, and it's the same hat we wear ourselves.
The hat
The Richardson 112 is the working cap of trail crews, ranch hands, and dog trainers. There's a reason you see it at every trailhead in the state: structured six-panel front that holds its shape, breathable mesh back for August, and a snapback closure that survives being stuffed in a pack.
Our B is stitched in 3D puff embroidery — the raised, dimensional kind that stands off the fabric and stays that way, rather than flattening into a smudge after one season and three washes
The colorways
Every one is named for somewhere within twenty minutes of our kitchen.
Eldorado — Charcoal and black with our orange mark. House colors, named for the canyon where the sandstone really is that shade.
Chautauqua — Kelly green on white. The meadow under the Flatirons, first week of June.
Flatiron — Orange with a navy mark. Rock against a deep blue sky, which is the view from most of town at dusk.
Bluebird — White and Columbia blue with a gold brim. Bluebird is what we call the morning after a storm blows through.
Gold Hill — Black on vegas gold, for the town at the top of the canyon.
Sanitas — Heather grey and maroon with a navy brim. Mount Sanitas is the hike half of Boulder does before work.
